“We the people…”
Means ALL the people.

Voters for Equality (V4E) was founded in 2011 with a simple but urgent belief: LGBTQ+ people and allies have the power to shape American politics — and they should use it.

For over 15 years, V4E has built one of the largest LGBTQ+ advocacy communities in the country, with more than 675,000 followers across social media. We fight for equality through civic engagement, voter education, and a relentless commitment to making LGBTQ+ voices heard at every level of government.

V4E is led by Brian Harrison, Ph.D., a political scientist whose research sits at the intersection of public opinion, political psychology, and LGBTQ+ rights. Dr. Harrison holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and has served on the faculty at Northwestern, Yale, NYU, Wesleyan, and the University of Minnesota. Before his academic career, he was a White House appointee at the Department of Homeland Security.

He is the author of four books, three published by Oxford University Press, examining how attitudes toward LGBTQ+ people form and change and how productive political conversations can shift them.
